After graduating in Mechanical Engineering (2020) and working over five years in sales, Moh’d realized how crucial data-driven decisions are for business success. That passion led him to the Innovation Kgotla × DataCamp Scholarship. He has gained hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and data visualization tools, completed multiple projects, and earned not one but two professional certifications: Certified SQL Associate Certified Data Analyst Associate Now, he’s on a mission to use Data to drive real impact!

A passionate scholar who’s rewriting his story through data! Before discovering the Innovation Kgotla x Data camp Scholarship, Charles didn’t know where to start in data analysis but today, he proudly holds his SQL Associate Certification! From learning the basics of data and data protection to performing exploratory data analysis, Charles has gained revolutionary skills that he’s now ready to use to understand customer needs, improve services, and drive better research outcomes.

Pricing Analyst at FNB Eswatini, who just proved what unstoppable determination looks like. 80 DAYS! Countless hours of PostgreSQL & Python. Real data projects & tight deadlines. He didn’t just complete the Professional Data Analyst Certification through the Innovation Kgotla × DataCamp Scholarship he owned it. Balancing a demanding finance career with an intensive data journey, he turned discipline into an art form. This milestone isn’t the finish line; it’s the launchpad. Next up? Fionah Phiri- Zambia In just two months of joining DataCamp through the Innovation Kgotla scholarship, Fionah has already completed several courses Introduction to Data, Data Literacy, Data Quality, Data Science, Statistics, and Introduction to Data Engineering! “I’m especially proud of how far I’ve come in such a short time and am excited to continue growing in this field. Our newly certified Associate Data Analyst! Background in Information and Knowledge Management (Archives & Records Management) from the University of Botswana, Ontlametse discovered a growing passion for the world of data. In 2024, he took a bold step to shift his career path, diving into the technical side through the DataCamp Scholarship with Innovation Kgotla. . He is now continuously sharpening his skills and is set to take things even further by pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Data Science with Botho University.

Certified Associate Data Engineer from Innovation Kgotla North Africa chapter. Moner was a final year Computer Science student at the Faculty of Engineering during his scholarship, with a growing passion for all things data especially Data Engineering Despite a demanding academic schedule, Moner took on the challenge and successfully earned his Associate Data Engineer Certification**, proving his dedication to mastering the tools and processes that power modern data systems.
